Our trade group voted to raise the special assessment for the “That’s Who We R” campaign to $45 from its current price of $35 – since 2009. The fee started at $15 in 1999. The delegates also voted to keep the yearly dues at $150. The assessment passed with no discussion from the floor with 775 in favor and 87 opposed.
The projected membership for this year is 1.52 million and is expected to dip slightly to 1.47 million next year. Multiply that number by $150 and you have as my mother would say, “A pretty penny”. The new $10 will increase the TWWR program by $1.47 million or a total of $66.15 million for the year or a really pretty penny.
