Awards Season is Coming

Several movie awards have already been given this year. The Academy Awards for this year’s movies will be March 27, 2022 with the nominations being announced on February 8^th. What can we watch during the holidays?
The Golden Globes just announced their nominations. This group has fallen greatly in prestige. Because of organizational problems and diversity questions they will not be broadcast on any major network this year. But we can understand that they can give some insight on what will be coming around February 8^th.

So here are the Golden Globes picks for Best Motion Picture Drama: Belfast, CODA, Dune, King Richard, The Power of the Dog.

Their picks for Musical or Comedy: Cyrano, Don’t Look Up, Licorice Pizza, Tick Tick…Boom, West Side Story
Some other movies being discussed by Critics: The Lost Daughter, King Richard, Being the Ricardos, and House of Gucci.

Time for a trip to Costco for popcorn and beverage and remember during the holidays, The Balcony Is Open. (Holiday movie season runs from the 15^th of December to the 15^th of January).
