In a new mystery-attorney type book I’m reading, the lead character and her friend have no money and are hungry, so they say, “Let’s go to the Costco Buffet.” Many of you know what she means. I am a Costco person, and believe that the best time to go for the samples they hand out is Saturday morning around 11:30 a.m. Last week in Laguna Niguel, there had to be at least 25 stations with a wide range of items.
There is no rule against seconds so I had a great time. I felt like Warren Buffet buying my McDonald’s breakfast every day with the exact change. One problem: I always end up buying large supplies of the items being offered, and I am the only one in the family who likes them, and they are large.
