On The Edge of Our Seats
The votes are in and we will see the results on Sunday. Just a few thoughts on the major categories.
The two Oscars that seem most set are Best Actor Will Smith and Best Supporting Actress Ariana De Bose.
Other favorites include Jessica Chastin for Best Actress and Troy Kotsur for Best Supporting Actress and Jane Campion for Best Director.
The Oscar for Best Picture seems to be a choice between The Power of the Dog, the early favorite and CODA, which is closing fast, winning the Producers Guild and Screen Actors Guild awards. If I were voting for my favorite movie of the year, it would be between CODA, King Richard and Belfast with Don’t Look Up close. Two movies in last place on my list would be Nightmare Alley and Licorice Pizza. Sorry to say I did not enjoy either one, but that’s just my opinion. The Power of the Dog is a well-directed movie.
