Why Should Real Estaters Become Brokers

This Could Be Considered A Rant And Not A Post

I believe that if someone is a Real Estate Salesperson, the next logical step for advancement is to become a broker.

Yes, I know you think that I have a hidden agenda in recommending that everybody becomes brokers. It is not a hidden agenda. It is right out in the open. If all salespersons become brokers, and some schedule their required courses and exam prep crash course with Duane Gomer Education, I would make some money.

BUT I could still be sincere in my belief about brokerage. Why should you do this? We have a flyer entitled, “WHY DO I SO STRONGLY BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BECOME A BROKER?

Following Are Some Highlights From The Article:

Money: Broker associates make more money.

Flexibility: You can start your own company if that desire ever arises.

Double-Duty: You can work with more than one company.

Retiring: If you retire and someone calls, you can get and keep the whole referral fee.

Liability: There is no extra liability as a broker associate as that is an urban myth.

Status: You are a broker and so you can impress prospects.

Education: Would taking more courses and studying for another exam hurt you.

Passing Grades: The highest since I have been working in this field.

Courses: Only five home-study courses required for most candidates.

Experience: Only two years required so start on the courses now.

Our courses: Qualifying courses online, Live prep crash courses all over CA.

Cost: Pay as you go plan.

See you in class. Move now, years from now you wish you had.

      Hello Dana!!

Happy to hear that you are moving towards your Broker’s License and your son is interested in joining the industry too!
The courses you need to take for your Broker’s License depends on which courses you took to attain your Salesperson License, please give our office a call tomorrow at 1-800-439-4909 so one of our registrars can help you find the right courses to meet the requirements.

As for your son, although he does not yet meet the minimum age requirement of 18 to take the State Exam, he can definitely start the courses now and wait until he becomes 18 before applying for the State Exam. He will need to take 3 courses: Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Practice, and an Elective course (we recommend Legal Aspects of Real Estate). For more information on the salesperson requirements and other courses he can choose as an elective, please visit our website here: Salesperson Courses Information Page
