IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR REAL ESTATE LICENCEES RENEWING ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1ST, 2023

Senate Bill 263 passed on September 2021, which states that licensees renewing on or after January 1st, 2023 must complete a new 2-Hour Implicit Bias Course and a Fair Housing Course with a New Interactive Participatory Component to fulfill their renewal requirement for their Salesperson’s or Broker’s license.

DRE is currently in the process of authorizing course sponsors to offer the courses on October 1st. We waited to announce these changes until DRE had approved our courses to avoid any confusion.

The two new courses will be available on Friday, October 7th at 10:00AM. The content for the Fair Housing course remains the same. You will just have to watch a new video online.

FOR EXISTING STUDENTS: If your license expires after January 1st, 2023 – the new courses will be available for you in your student work center on Friday, October 7th at no extra cost.

FOR NEW STUDENTS: Our 45- Hour Renewal Programs will be offered at our current low prices.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR RENEWAL WITH OTHER SPONSORS: If your sponsor does not have these courses available, we will be offering them to all licensees beginning October 11th, 2022.

REMINDER: You cannot apply to renew your license with the DRE until you are within 90 days of the expiration date.
