Had to renew my driver’s license recently. DJ got a reservation at the famous San Clemente DMV office, and I was in and out in a short time, renewing my driver’s license and applying for my Super ID.
Why? Check the two lines in this photo. One extends way out the door. The other has no one in it. The long line is for drivers with no appointments. The empty line is for drivers with a reservation, and that line on the left moves slowly.
Getting the new Fancy ID is simple if you have the proper items. Get them now; the lines may get longer.
I am a senior, senior citizen, and I had no problems. No driving test or written test. Simple eye test, paid my money, and got a five-year extension to my license.
My conclusion: Get a reservation. BTW, there is a new sitcom titled DMV on CBS. Not All in the Family, but I liked it.
