DRE Form 149
Just received the 2019 DRE Form 149 for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2019. This is a form prepared by the DRE and sent to me each month. If you would like a copy, please go to our blog at www.duanegomer.info.
Some interesting and disappointing facts for a Real Estate Education Company with overhead. Numbers are down and the trend is more years of down. For example, in December 2007 the number of Licensees in the entire State was 548,959 and in June 2019 it was 432,670. That is 116,289 lower or a drop of 21%. Quite a drop in the top line for renewal income for all the DRE education companies.
Also, new broker exams scheduled for 2006 was 2,538 per month and in 2019 the average was 433. That is another big drop, and 433 is not a misprint.
Salesperson exams scheduled in 2006 was 13,939 monthly versus 4,183 in 2019. Those were the good old days and we didn’t know it.
One good sign for students is that passing grades for brokers was 38% in 2006 versus 54% in 2019 and for salespersons the grades in 2006 were 41% and in 2019 averaged 55%.
What does the future look like? Salesperson exams scheduled for the entire fiscal year ending on June 30, 2019 was 50,197 and in 2018 was 52,061. Brokers trend: 2019-5197 and 2018-5187. A drop in salespersons exams and a gain of 10 students in Brokers. The downbeat goes on.
Not much good news for a company specializing in DRE Education. However, for possible students, this is a great opportunity for you. Companies are searching for new licensees and the passing grades are the highest in decades. Strike now or forever hold your peace.
